Q. What is Qnovo?

A. Qnovo is a US-based company that provides the Battery Monitor application. Qnovo’s software operates in the background to deliver an enhanced battery user experience with improved battery health, faster charging, more available charge and longer battery lifespan, all without compromise. Q. What can I do with this app?

A. You can see the performance and health of your smartphone battery. You can check the battery status of your smartphone. The data will be collected and used to improve battery quality in the future.

Q: What do the display items mean?

A. There are three primary display items that you can see in the Battery Monitor app:

Battery level: Indicates the percentage of charge remaining in the battery. The battery level displays 100% when fully charged.

Charging cycles: Shows the cumulative number of times the battery has been fully charged and discharged. Partial charges and discharges are added over time to represent one full charge-discharge cycle. It is not the number of times the smartphone was actually connected to the charger.

Battery performance: Shows the percentage of maximum charge capacity that you battery can hold compared to when the battery was new. A display of 100% means the battery is at its maximum capacity. A lower number may mean fewer hours of usage between consecutive charges. When the battery’s capacity reaches 80%, it is time to replace it.

Q. What purpose is the data sent?

A. We used the data to improve battery quality and performance. Please refer to "Application Privacy Policy" for details.

Q. How often do you send data?

A. Once a day. The data is sent only when the power is on and the Internet can be connected.

Q. What is the communication volume for one data transmission?

A. The communication data is very small and is approximately 256 bytes per day (communication charges will be borne by the customer).

Q. How is this application different from 3rd party monitoring applications?

A. This application is built specifically for Docomo phone model and its battery. It analyzes the battery chemistry and reports its true internal chemical health.

Q. How is the data secured?

A. No personal data is transmitted from the phone by this application. The battery data is anonymous and is sent over a secure connection, stored on secure servers, and viewed only by authorized personnel.

Q. Will this app slowdown my phone?

A. No. The memory and CPU usage is negligible.

Q. How do I stop using the app?

A. It is possible to stop using the app by selecting "opt out" from the option menu on the upper right. If you opt out of using the app, data transmission will also stop.
